MANILA – Far Eastern University-Diliman clobbered University of the Philippines Integrated School, 25-9, 25-12, Wednesday in Division 1 of the 2025 Shakey’s Girls Volleyball Invitational League (SGVIL) Rising Stars Cup at the La Salle Green Hills gym.

Ifunanya Udaegbala led FEU with seven points off six attacks and one block, followed by Aleah Devosora and Aliah Ona with six points each, while setter Sheena Café had three points, in Pool D. 

In Pool B, Shamira Pantojo scored 11 points as Chiang Kai Shek College beat Bethel Academy, 25-15, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Lyceum of the Philippines University downed University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, 25-18, 25-21, in Pool A, while Arellano University rallied past Kings’ Montessori School, 25-19, 16-25, 27-25, in Pool C.

In Division 2, La Salle Green Hills trounced Assumption College-San Lorenzo, 25-13, 25-11, in Pool E, while Domuschula International School (DIS) turned back St. Therese-Quezon City, 13-25, 25-20, 29-27, in Pool F.

Immaculate Conception Academy prevailed over Assumption-Antipolo, 25-14, 25-19, in the other Pool F match of the country’s biggest grassroots volleyball league.

Games on Thursday pit University of Santo Tomas against UPIS, Bethel Academy against Holy Rosary College and defending champion Adamson University against University of Perpetual Help System Dalta. DIS faces Immaculate Conception Academy while Assumption Antipolo battles St. Paul College-Pasig in Pool F.

In other matches, Corpus Christi School takes on Kings’ Montessori School, FEU meets St. John’s Institute-Bacolod, De La Salle-Zobel B tackles Assumption College-San Lorenzo, and LSGH battles Everest International School. (Jean Malanum/PNA)
