Dragon Ball Daima: How (and Where) to Watch the Anime's English Dub

After a long wait, Dragon Ball Daima's English dub is finally almost here. Here's everything a fan needs to know to tune in and watch the English dub of Dragon Ball Daima as soon as it's available.

Dragon Ball Daima debuted in Japanese and with subtitles on October 11, 2024. The first three episodes of the English dub were given a special theatrical release from November 10, 2024 to November 12, 2024, but remained unavailable on streaming for weeks afterward. It was announced on December 3, 2024, that the English dub would become available to stream on Crunchyroll on January 10, 2025, but there weren't any further details as to exactly when it would arrive until recently. Now, fans have an exact date and time to tune in each week for the dub of Daima.

Dragon Ball Daima's English Dub Begins January 10

Daima Will Debut in the Afternoon Each Friday

According to Crunchyroll, fans can catch the English dub of Dragon Ball Daima at 1:30 PM Pacific Time (4:30 Eastern Time), provided they live in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. Much of the usual Dragon Ball English dub cast will be reprising their roles, at least for the adult forms of the characters. Stephanie Nadolny will additionally be reprising her role as Kid Goku, once the curse is in effect and everyone has been de-aged into children again. New characters to Daima will include Glorio, voiced by Aaron Dismuke, Gomah, voiced by Tom Laflin, and Neva, voiced by Garrett Schenk.

New episodes will presumably continue to be released on Fridays at this time each week. The Japanese release is currently on episode 13, meaning that it has a very substantial head start on the dub, and as is often the case, dub viewers will need to be cautious to avoid spoilers for the series, which have already proliferated around fandom spaces across the internet. Still, it's a substantial improvement over the dub situation with Dragon Ball Super, where the English dub was over a year behind the Japanese release.

So far, Dragon Ball Daima has been a thrilling series to watch, particularly for long-time fans, as it explores a corner of the Dragon Ball universe that has rarely been seen: the Demon Realm. An area independent of the multiverse established in Dragon Ball Super, the Demon Realm is a very unique setting that has been great fun to discover. Overall, the series has a strong adventure vibe to it, making it much more like the original Dragon Ball than it is like Super or Z.

Dragon Ball Daima's story has had plenty of twists and turns to it, and even some surprising reveals, for both new characters and old favorites. It's absolutely worth a watch for any Dragon Ball fan, but especially those with a fondness for the original series. Dub viewers of Dragon Ball Daima are certainly in for a treat!
